Adult Hockey
2009-2010 Winter Adult League Champions

Darryl and I would like to thank you for participating in the 1st Zach Tays Memorial Adult League Playoff Championships. Zachary Tays was 20 years old when he passed away from injuries received in a car accident. Zach was a rink rat that played youth hockey and subsequently adult hockey with his dad on the famed Tays Framing Teams. The Tays family has been actively involved in both youth hockey and adult hockey since Arctic’s doors first opened in 1996. We would like to honor Zach and his family for their love and participation in the game and the enjoyment that he showed when he was hanging out at the rink by naming our adult league after Zach. We will hang the Championship banners up at both rinks and hang another banner with the league division champions name under it for each adult season.

This past winter season we had 24 teams that participated in 5 divisions.

The following are the 2009-2010 Winter Adult League Champions.
Division 1 Texas Roadhouse
Division 2 Tinker Hawks Can-Am
Division 3 Screaming Pylons
Division 4 Blues
Division 5 Team Pacifico

Remember the Summer League starts May 17th. I would like to have all the team rosters by May 13th. Let me know if you need players or are looking for a team to play on.

YOUTH HOCKEY LEAGUES

Summer Leagues are refereed and coached but offer a more ‘laid back and fun atmosphere’ so your player can experience the game his way rather than pressure to perform. This is valuable ice time for FUN in learning.

SUMMER LEAGUE—June 1 to August 10—Mite thru High School 10 Games—Monday evenings—Cost: $135.00

Arctic Edge Sports Day Camp

June 1--August 14; Ages 7-12—Girls and Boys
Monday-Friday-7:30a.m.--5:30p.m.

Cost: $145.00/per single week; $125.00/per week for a one month period (lunch not included, bag lunch or purchase lunch card from Snack Bar)

This highly successful Day Camp starting its seventh year is directed by Pat Young, manager for 10 years at Arctic Edge Ice Arena. Activities include skating 2 hours a day; swimming or basketball 5 times/week next door at Transformation Fitness Center. Specialists for skating, martial arts, gymnastics, ball room dancing, skate boarding teach once a week classes. Arts and crafts and other activities are also included. Ratio of counselors to children is 1:10. All counselors are CPR first-aid and life saving certified.

Blazers Ice Center Sports Day Camp

June 1—August 14; Ages 5-12—Girls and Boys
Monday-Friday-7:30a.m.—5:30p.m.

Cost: $100.00 per 4 Week Basis; $125.00 per single week; $25.00/day

Activities include skating 2 hours each day, Swimming at Earlywine YMCA, Victory Gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, Arts and Crafts.

With the camp quickly approaching, time is running out for your friends/teammates to register. This camp is only a one group camp, so space is VERY limited. Only 30 spots available!
Please let your friends/teammates know that they need to register/pay online no later than June 12th. We are needing to make sure we bring enough staff and need to schedule flights by then for this location. We would hate to see you/your child and teammates miss out on this opportunity to really improve your game.
